Ovation's pioneering multi-soundhole design enhances string vibration and sustain by improving soundboard efficiency. With its Roundback® composite body, the Ovation Mandolin offers more acoustic volume and cutting power than expensive flatback models.

The instrument's upper-bout soundholes are inlaid with exotic hardwoods, and a cutaway offers full access to the sleek, satin-finished 5-piece mahogany/maple neck and ebony fretboard. A custom high-output pickup and special version of the OP-24+ preamp give the Ovation Mandolin unparalleled amplified tone.

OP-24+
Offering whisper-quiet audio circuitry with very low distortion, the OP-24+ features 3-band EQ with a bypass switch, a Mid-Shift control for selecting a midrange center frequency of either 400 Hz or 1 kHz, a Pre-Shape circuit for boosting bass and treble response while cutting rumble-prone frequencies below 40 Hz, and a battery status light. To provide complete control over the high-output preamp signal, the OP-24+ has a custom-taper volume slider.
