Recalling 1960’s and 1970’s vintage basses, Ken Smith introduced the KSD Proto-J series. Drawn from his many years as a studio professional in New York City and as a world class luthier, Smith designed this series to meet the demands of professional bassists. Geared towards a global clientele of musicians, Smith incorporated many features found on his American basses into a design that is familiar and recognizable outside of the U.S.A.
