First introduced in the 1960's it quickly found favor with a wide range of players due to its unique sound, excellent playability, and quality construction. This classic Guild model now returns in a limited special run version.
Blending new and vintage style design elements, the GSR Starfire VI extends the Guild electric tradition as a modern interpretation of the classic model. It features a spruce top and figured maple back and sides that offer excellent balance, punch, and sustain. The Seymour Duncan® Seth Lover pickups offer that highly sought after early humbucker tone: smooth, warm, and harmonically rich with excellent dynamic range. While the bound mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard offer comfortable feel and smooth playability.
Other premium features include a TonePros® Tune-O-Matic style bridge, Gotoh® diecast tuners, bone nut, multi- ply binding, vintage style pickguard, G- Shield controls knobs, Mother-of-Pearl and abalone inlays, and a nitrocellulose lacquer finish. Available in Antique Burst (837).
Each guitar comes with a Guild® leather strap and deluxe hardshell case.
