To commemorate this historic event 50 years ago Hofner has come out with the "Ed Sullivan Ignition Bass".

This is a Hofner Ignition Bass in sunburst that is a darker finish than the standard SB Ignitions.

Aesthetically, there is an Ed Sullivan decal on the pickguard as well as "Ed Sullivan Show Ltd" spelled out on the back of the headstock.

This is certainly a very affordable and attractive way for Hofner/Beatle collectors or enthusiasts to have something cool and tangible at a fraction of the cost.
