Originally launched in 1996 this guitar has been a signature part of the EVH design and sound for a long time. The Wolfgang Special TOM is the latest update which introduces a stoptail tune-o-matic bridge on one of the best valve Wolfgangs yet. Quality Build The EVH Wolfgangs have used the same basic design and woods since its first introduction nearly 20 years ago. The basswood body cut a flat top version of the iconic Wolfgang shape and bolt on quatersawn maple neck with graphite reinforcement are staples of what makes a Wolfgang a Wolfgang so they are still here.

These woods were chosen for their ability to easily cut through a mix when playing solos while still being chunky enough to sound great for rhythm playing as well. What makes this guitar so playable is the compound radius fretboard. THis may not sound like much but the way it moves from a wider radius at the top of the board for comfort when playing chords to a flatter radius higher up the neck for incredible speed when playing solos. If you want an all in one rock machine you can't go wrong with this. Rocking Hardware Everything in the guitar is built around stability and tone. From the industry standard and solid TOM bridge as well as the EVH tuners you can rest assured that not only will your guitar stay in tune all night long but will also sound great while doing so.
