Digital Amp Modelling
Known for their high quality digital modelling the Blackstar ID Core line don't offer a million different options but the few models it does have are second to none in terms of quality. With a choice of Clean Warm, Clean Bright, Crunch, Super Crunch, OD1 and OD2 channels you can go from crystal cleans at high volumes all the way up crushing high gain sounds at a moment's notice.

In The Room
Due to it using modelling technology there are a couple of different ways you can wire up the ID Core 40H and one of the most popular ways will be through a guitar cabinet in the room. Standard guitar cabinets come in many different shapes and sizes and as long as it can handle 40w of power you are ready to rock.

The benefit of using this method is that you don't need any other powered gear and it can take full advantage of the amplifiers power amp meaning you can get a lot of volume from a very small space. The downside is that it is very hard to keep it quiet when using it like this.

Emulated Output
Cabs are not your only connectivity option however as built in to the head you have a speaker emulated output that can be run to headphones, powered speakers or even you recording system. This means you can practice and record at home with great quality sound even in the middle of the night without your neighbours ever having to know.
